About Lauren and a piece of cake photography
Thanks for checking out a piece of cake photography. I'm Lauren Vondra, the photographer and I'm delighted that you are viewing my website! I love photography and capturing people and their personalities, so having my own business where I get to do these things is incredible!
I live in Galena, Illinois with my husband, Nathan, and our dog, a Yorkie, Fluff. (I am a lover of animals and it can't be more obvious than seeing my spoiled little dog.) I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where my love of photography began in 6th grade at St Patrick's Middle School. From there, it grew to the Kennedy High School Torch newspaper, Columbia College Chicago photography department, Clarke College Courier newspaper, and finally a piece of cake photography.
The vision behind a piece of cake photography is this: clean and natural photos of you in your element. That's it. For weddings I capture your perfect day, your love and your moment. No stiff portrait shots looking miserable. I will take your portraits with family and friends, but make it fun, relaxed and reflect your personality.
I am based in the Galena and the surrounding areas. I am fortunate enough to travel often, so please don't hesitate to ask me to come to you. So, if you'd like to chat about your upcoming wedding, family reunion or whatever it might be, I'd be happy to help!
